Job Responsibilities – Sales Manager

  • Responsible for hiring, training, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of all salespeople.
  • Is able to direct training and staffing in a way that improves and develops sales processes.
  • Oversees all activities at the sales desk, ensuring proper conduct at all times.
  • Responsible for follow-up and tracking of all daily activities including: customer traffic, appointments, follow-up appointments, deliveries, CSI and gross profit.
  • Displays, merchandises and promotes new and used vehicles.
  • Conducts one-on-one sessions with sales people daily.
  • Works hand in hand with the Finance department to ensure complete and accurate documentation in regards to customer and vehicle information.
  • In charge of setting up dealer trades, drop ship’s and dealer matches providing accurate inventory costs and adds as well as dealer trade sheets and invoice documentation.
  • Has a strong working knowledge of DMS and CRM systems.
  • Keeps track of Dealer Socket Reporting on a regular basis making sure to address the problem areas.
  • Requirements include but aren’t limited to: Desking skills, strong interpersonal and behavioral skills, strong closing skills, and a strong leadership background.
  • Assist the finance department with necessary information to obtain financing of all customers with accurate and secure information.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Red Flag and OFAC checks are being managed and that company policies are being followed.
  • In charge of administering and monitoring factory-sponsored programs.
  • Serves as a communication contact between sales and other departments.
  • Attends manager meetings on a weekly basis
  • Reports on time to work and adheres to the set schedule making sure to call supervisor if he/she cannot be at work at the scheduled time.
  • Keeps up to date with HR training as well as any other training that may be required including: Dealer Track updates and webinars.
  • Is responsible for adhering and implementing company policies and informing supervisor of any illegal activities and/or deviations to company policy.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience and knowledge of the business.
